Live Online Courses
Only participants registered for activities from the 21st to the 25th can sign up for the courses. The registration fee depends on the course length. Classes will be held online (live) from July 14 to 18, 2025.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where will the lectures take place?
All lectures will be held at the Brain Institute of PUCRS (InsCer) - Av. Ipiranga, 6690, Porto Alegre.
Are the lectures recorded?
No. All lectures are live only (synchronous) and will not be available afterward.
Will I receive a participation certificate?
Yes. Digital certificates will be emailed for each attended lecture and completed course.
Do I need to register separately for courses?
Yes. Course registration is independent of event registration. You must first register for the event to enroll in courses.
How are course spots allocated?
Course seats are limited and will be filled strictly in order of registration (first-come, first-served).
Can I switch courses after registering?
No. Changes are not permitted after payment.
Are registration fees refundable?
The Art. 49 of Law 8.078/09 of the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code guarantees a legal deadline of 7 days after purchase to request a full refund of payment.
80% of the registration fee will be refunded for any requested cancellation received before May 30, 2025. From this date to Jun 30, 2025 you will receive 50% of the registration fee. No refund will be made for cancellation requests made after July 10, 2025.
All requests should be sent via email to secretaria@ab3c.org.br and state that you have read and agreed with the terms of the cancellation process.
The AB3C association fee is not refundable at any time.
Do AB3C members get a discount on the EGB 2025 registration fee?
Yes. Members of the Brazilian Association of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (AB3C) will receive a 15% discount on the event registration fee.
Will the online courses be recorded?
No. The online courses will not be recorded.
What are the course schedules?
The courses will be held between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM. Each course has its own specific schedule. Upon registration, participants will have access to the full meeting timetable to ensure they meet the minimum course workload. It is the participant’s responsibility to check for potential schedule overlaps between selected courses during registration.
